
Anna Gebert
Polish born Anna Gebert has enjoyed a broad career as a violinist. Her areas of competence range from early baroque to contemporary music, chamber music to major orchestral repertory.
Anna was educated in the Sibelius Academy with Igor Bezrodny, followed by studies in Freiburg with Magdalen Rezler, Munich with Ana Chumachenco, Indiana University with Miriam Fried and baroque violin with Stanley Ritchie, and the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic with Guy Braunstein.
She has appeared at chamber festivals around the world, including Kuhmo, Ravinia, Orford and Trondheim to name a few. In addition, she performed for years with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and made numerous guest leader appearances with London Symphony Orchestra, Cologne Radio, Frankfurt and Munich Opera.
Two years as a full-time substitute with the Berlin Philharmonic led to her appointment as assistant concertmaster in the Cologne Gürzenich Orchestra. Anna is currently associate professor at the Trondheim Music Conservatory and concertmaster of the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra.
