
Linda Bärlund
Born in 1985 in Finland, Bärlund is a laureate of numerous prizes and awards, such as 1st prize in the Kuopio XI Violin Competition in Finland and the Turnbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists in the UK. After her studies at the Sibelius Academy, she studied at the Juilliard School in New York with Lewis Kaplan and at the Guildhall School of Music in London, where she received two master’s degrees with distinctions with David Takeno as her teacher.
Linda has performed as a soloist with orchestras since age 12 and she is often asked to perform as a chamber musician in concerts worldwide. She has had the opportunity to perform alongside artists such as Mihaela Martin, Frans Helmerson, Gerard Wyss, Nobuko Imai, Tim Hughes, Boris Brovtsyn, and Francois Guye. Her performances have been broadcast on several radio and television channels in Finland, UK, Switzerland, and USA. Based in Geneva since 2009, Linda is a member of the Suisse Romande Orchestra.
