Bruno Lima

Bruno Lima (b. 1996 in Maceió) is a cellist and composer from Brazil. He had his first solfege lessons at the age of 4 but his first contact with the cello happened during high school at the age of 16. Since then, Lima has been an active artist in Brazil and in Europe playing chamber music, writing new pieces and arrangements, and has been praised for his tone quality, inspired artistry and flexibility to play both classical and popular music on the cello.

Lima is currently finishing his Master degree in Cello performance and Composition at the Sibelius Academy, with Erkki Lahesmaa and Tapio Tuomela respectively. He currently plays a french cello by Georges Cunault from 1912 granted by the Sibelius Academy.
