Ari Helander

Ari Helander (b. 1959) holds a Master’s degree in the piano from the Sibelius Academy and teaches the piano at the North Kymi Music Institute. For some years now, he has been giving illustrated talks combining narrative with music and visual images. He is particularly interested in the personal lives of composers and the way in which the prevailing political and social climate has influenced them. He has also held many exhibitions of photographs and photo collages.
